Gandaki COVID-19 tally soars to 113 with 38 new cases today morning

KATHMANDU, June 7: Gandaki Province has reported 38 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease on Sunday morning.

KATHMANDU, June 7: Gandaki Province has reported 38 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease on Sunday morning. 


According to Director at Provincial Health Directorate Dr Binod Bindu Sharma, fourteen males ---- thirteen from Waling Municipality and one from Bhirkot Municipality in Syangja district--  were tested positive for this virus.

Similarly, ten new cases each were identified in Baglung and Gorkha districts. Nine patients from Badigad Rural Municipality and one from Dhorpatan Municipality in Baglung district were diagnosed with this viral infection. Similarly, nine persons of Gandaki Municipality and one other from Palungtar Municipality in Gorkha district have also reported COVID-19 infection, according to Dr Sharma. 


Gorakha district has reported the first ever case of this fatal disease.


In addition to this, Hupsekot Rural Municipality of Nawalpur has also reported four new cases of COVID-19. All newly confirmed COVID-19 patients are males and they are being taken to isolation wards in respective district hospitals. 


With this, the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Gandaki Province has climbed to 113 including three recoveries. No death has been reported so far in the province.
