Woman arrested with one kg of gold

RASUWA, Sep 3: Police officials arrested a woman for attempting to smuggle gold illegally across the North Rasuwa region. The individual in custody has been identified as 41-year-old Pachemu Tamang, hailing from Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-3, Uggam.

RASUWA, Sep 3: Police officials arrested a woman for attempting to smuggle gold illegally across the North Rasuwa region. The individual in custody has been identified as 41-year-old Pachemu Tamang, hailing from Gosainkunda Rural Municipality-3, Uggam.

According to District Police Chief Subas Budhathoki, Tamang was apprehended by border security personnel at the Miteri Bridge while attempting to enter Nepal through the Rasuwagadhi border crossing from Kerung. She was found to be illegally transporting one kilogram of gold.


Furthermore, it has been reported that the arrested woman was in poor health, prompting her admission to Rasuwa Hospital for medical treatment under tight security. Police have indicated that investigation into the matter is currently underway.
