SURKHET, Mar 16: A woman falsely accusing a man of raping her has been jailed for three and a half years in Surkhet district.
The District Court of Surkhet slapped a jail term of three and a half years to a 37- year old woman from Birendranagar.

A single bench of Justice Rajendra Kumar Acharya sentenced the woman to a jail term of three and a half years in charge of falsely claiming that she was raped and defaming the accused person.
The woman had accused Khem Raj Sharma, an employee at Account Section of Birendranagar Municipality of raping her at a local hotel. Later the woman changed her statement in the court.
The court has ordered the police to arrest the woman and send her to jail.
