Woman succumbs to COVID-19 in Bhairahawa

BUTWAL, Sept 2: A woman succumbed to COVID-19 infection at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa on Tuesday night.

BUTWAL, Sept 2: A woman succumbed to COVID-19 infection at Bhim Hospital in Bhairahawa on Tuesday night.


The 65-year old woman from Ramgram Municipality-5 in Nawalparasi district died while undergoing treatment at Bhim Hospital, according to the focal person of the hospital Dr Suman Prajapati. “She was being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU)”, he added.

The deceased, a diabetes patient, was admitted to Lumbini Provincial Hospital on August 30 after she suffered from high fever and coughs. She was later transferred to Bhim Hospital due to lack of isolation beds at the Provincial Hospital after she tested positive for the COVID-19.


Earlier, a 50-year-old COVID-19 patient had also died at Bhim Hospital in the course of treatment.
