The NCP’s Secretariat meeting which started at 11AM today is still underway at the Parisdanda-based building which once served as the headquarters of the then CPN (Maoist Centre) before its merger with the then CPN (UML) in 2018.
Spokesperson for the MPR, Kathmandu, Somendra Singh Rathaur, said that Rai has been kept in custody at the Metropolitan Police Sector, Koteshwar.
Rai came to limelight in February this year after she lodged a partition of property case against Chief Minister of Province 1 Sherdhan Rai claiming that the latter was her husband.
She moved the court against CM Rai demanding her share in his property. However, the woman was forced to withdraw the case after she failed to produce required evidence at the court.
Chief Minister Rai has always been saying that he did not have any such relationship with her.
