KATHMANDU, April 13: Yeti Airlines has announced free airfare for children below 2 years of age on the occasion of Nepali New Year 2081 BS.


Yeti Airlines has announced a 100 percent discount on airfares for infants, publicizing the 'Free Travel for Small Passengers' scheme through social media.

Yeti Airlines has stated that this plan aims to ensure that every child's first flight experience starts with Yeti Airlines. Currently, airlines charge a service fee for flying infants up to 24 months.


Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson for Yeti Airlines, mentioned that the 100% discount on children's airfares aims to provide passengers with a pleasant flying experience. According to him, this scheme is effective for a limited period from April 13, 2024, for all Nepali and foreign babies.


Parents must present their child's birth certificate at the Yeti Airlines check-in counter while traveling to avail of this facility. Yeti Airlines has been offering services for children, elderly individuals, and differently-abled passengers through special counters.


Currently, Yeti Airlines serves more than 4,000 passengers with over 65 daily flights using seven ATR-72 aircraft.
