According to Executive Director of NYF Raju Dhamala, they decided to run a 50-bed isolation center by converting a 24-bed rehabilitation center run for children suffering from malnutrition in view of the second wave of COVID-19 pandemic. Dhamala said they are now planning to further expand beds as the number of COVID-19 cases is on the rise in Kathmandu Valley.
In addition to the isolation facility, the youth group is also planning to run 3 to 5 bed ICU at the center with a technical support of Annapurna Neuro Hospital with the objective to provide free of cost service to poor and the helpless people who cannot afford treatment for this disease.
Dhamala said they have been asking all concerned statekholders concerned for support to materialize their plan. "We plan to provide all kinds of support including food, oxygen, ICU, ambulane and other necessary things to poor and helpless people infected with the COVID-19.
