10 alleged jewelry thieves busted

KATHMANDU, Dec 26 :The Metropolitan Police Circle Maharajgunj has busted 10 persons allegedly involved in theft cases by barging into houses.


A team deputed from the police circle arrested Suman Thapamagar, Manisha Nemwang, Anisha Khambamagar, Soni Lama, Sunil Magar, Uddhab Thapa, Rabin Thapamagar, Sabita Sunuwar, Sanjaya Tamang and Gautam Manna for their alleged involvement in breaking houses in different parts of Kathandu Valley for robbery.

According to police circle chief Fanindra Prasain, the team got success to book the thieves robbing jewelries in Gongobu area. The robbers were found to have sold out the stolen jewelries at Gautam Manna’s shop in New Road, Kathmandu. It was revealed during investigation that Manna was selling the jewelries by modifying their original forms.


Police recovered a golden bracelet, a ring, a pair of jhumka, a necklace (mangalsutra), a tilahari, two jantar, 7 sets of mobile, cash Rs 94,000, 5 sets of watch and a purse. RSS
