CHITWAN, Aug 22: One hundred and six people have been found infected with dengue in Chitwan district in one month.
According to the District Health Office, Chitwan, such number of dengue infected people were detected while carrying out blood tests of 453 people from July 17 to August 17. Vector Controller of the Office, Ram KC, said that 78 dengue infected patients are from Chitwan.

Out of 78 dengue patients of Chitwan, 69 are from Bharatpur Metropolitan City alone. KC said that Kamalnagar, Pulchowk areas of Bharatpur Metropolitan City are most dengue affected area.
The District Health Office has urged one and all to adopt alertness to be safe from the disease. Ward no 1, 2, 3, 4 and 10 of Bharatpur Metropolitan City are at high risk of dengue, added KC. A total of 951 people underwent blood tests for dengue in fiscal year 2017/18, 31 were found infected with dengue disease.
Senior physician at Bharatpur Hospital, Dr. Bhojraj Adhikari, said that symptoms like headache, back pain, fluctuation in blood pressure and vomiting are seen on dengue infected patients. Dengue disease had taken an epidemic form in the district in 2010, 2013 and 2016.
