KATHMANDU, May 11: The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed 13 new COVID-19 cases earlier this evening. With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country has spiked to 134.
According to Dr Samir Kumar Adhikari, joint spokesperson for the ministry, the swab samples of six males (aged 15, 19, 23, 30, 32 and 38) from Yashodhara Rural Municipality-9 and Buddha Bhumi Municipality-7 of Kapilvastu district, six other males (aged 24, 26, 27, 30 32 and 40) of Rupandehi’s Samarimai Rural Municipality-7 and Lumbini Sanskritik Rural Municipality-6, and a girl child aged 11 from Rajapur-5, Baridya tested positive for this deadly virus at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory.

Earlier today, the ministry confirmed 10 other cases in Kapilvastu and one in Saptari.
With this, Province 5 has become the worst-hit province, reporting a total of 53 cases.
