14 shortlisted candidates for position of TU vice-chancellor undergoing interviews today

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The interview of the shortlisted candidates for the position of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU) is underway today from 8:30AM at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Singha Durbar.

KATHMANDU, Feb 18: The interview of the shortlisted candidates for the position of Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU) is underway today from 8:30AM at the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Singha Durbar.


The interviews of the candidates have been scheduled in two shifts. Shiva Kumar Sapkota, Kushum Shakya, Keshar Jung Baral, Gobinda Subedi, Chitra Bahadur Budhathoki, Gyanendra Prasad Paudel, Tanknath Dhamala, Tirtha Raj Khaniya were interviewed from  8:30AM in the first shift.

Similarly, Narayan Prasad Belbase, Prakash Ghimire, Bhojraj Aryal, Mahendra Prasad Sharma, Ram Chandra Basnet, Shiva Lal Bhusal and Surya Bahadur Thapa will be interviewed from 1PM in the second shift.


A total of 43 individuals, including two women, applied for the post of Vice-Chancellor of TU. Among them, 14 people including one woman have been shortlisted.


Following the assessment of the candidates' presentations and interviews, the Vice-Chancellor Selection and Recommendation Committee of TU will submit the names of the top three candidates, based on their scores, to the Chancellor and the Prime Minister for the final appointment of the Vice-Chancellor.
