The Kathmandu Valley alone recorded 1,051 new cases in the past 24 hours
KATHMANDU, April 21: Nepal recorded 2,351 new cases of the coronavirus disease in the past 24 hours. As many as 1,051 of these cases were detected solely in the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 2,351 new cases were detected through 2,220 PCR tests and 803 antigen tests in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 9,747 COVID-19 patients in home isolation, 180 in ICUs and 47 on ventilators across the country.
Similarly, as many as 23,900 PCR tests were conducted in the past three days in various COVID-19 laboratories across the nation of which 5,114 tested positive.
Likewise, the number of active cases of COVID-19 reached 10,582 on Wednesday.
Speaking at a daily virtual press meet organized by the MoHP, Dr Jageshwar Gautam, spokesperson for the ministry, maintained that Nepal’s COVID-19 rate is doubling every four days.
