KATHMANDU, June 19: As many as 2,401 new cases of COVID-19 disease were confirmed through the 11,696 tests carried out in the past 24 hours as of Saturday afternoon.
According to the health ministry, 7,010 RT-PCR and 4,686 antigen tests were conducted to confirm 1,688 (PCR) and 713 (antigen) tests.
COVID-19 cases detected in Chitwan after ten months
Nepal has so far confirmed a total of 619,635 cases through the PCR technique and 25,574 others through the antigen method.
Meanwhile, 3,660 patients got over the disease on Saturday taking the country’s recovery tally to 553,342. Thirty four others, however, died due to COVID-19 infection. With this, Nepal’s fatality total has reached 8,675.
