21-member HoR Rules drafting committee formed

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: A House of Representatives (HoR) Rules drafting committee has been formed. A resolution to form such a committee was passed unanimously in the HoR meeting on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, Jan 24: A House of Representatives (HoR) Rules drafting committee has been formed. A resolution to form such a committee was passed unanimously in the HoR meeting on Tuesday.


The 21-member committee consists of parliamentarians Anita Devi, Dr Amresh Kumar Singh, Gangadhar Chaundhari, Chitra Bahadur KC, Jeevan Pariyar, Dilendra Prasad Badu, Nagina Yadav, Prakash Jwala, Pradeep Yadav, Prem Suwal, Mahesh Prasad Gartaula, Ramesh Lekhak, Lilanath Shrestha, Bidya Bhattarai, Shakti Bahadur Basnet, Sarvendranath Shukla, Sita Gurung, Subash Chandra Nemwang, Sobita Gautam, Hitraj Pandey and Gyanendra Bahadur Shahi.

MP Devendra Paudel said that the committee has been instructed to prepare the draft and submit it to the HoR meeting within 15 days.


According to Article 104 of the Constitution of Nepal, the HoR is required to conduct its work, to maintain the order of the meeting and to regulate the formation of committees, proceedings and procedures of the House of Representatives Committee and to facilitate other functions of the HoR.
