Kathmandu, April 29: The prohibitory orders imposed by the local administration of the three districts of the Kathmandu Valley to break the chain of transmission of the coronavirus is being strictly enforced.
Police and traffic police personnel have been deployed across the three districts in the Valley--- Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Lalitpur-- to ensure that the orders are implemented effectively.

According to the spokesperson for the Kathmandu Metropolitan Police Office, Superintendent of Police (SP) Sunil Singh Rathore, a total of 3,200 police personnel and 500 traffic police personnel have been mobilized in the Valley to place strict vigilance. He also added that the security personnel have been inspecting the public at 56 different places inside the valley, out of which 44 check stops are located in Kathmandu, eight in Lalitpur, and four in Bhaktapur.
Those defying the orders were kept in ‘holding centers’ and released after a certain period of time, according to police. Similarly, police took action against 1,500 vehicles for flouting the prohibitory orders as of 3 PM, Thursday.
