3 held on gold, cash theft charge

KATHMANDU, June 23: Metropolitan Police Range Office, Kathmandu has arrested three people with stolen ornaments and cash.

KATHMANDU, June 23: Metropolitan Police Range Office (MPRO), Kathmandu has arrested three people with stolen ornaments and cash.


The arrested are Rajan Khanal, Upendra Kharel of Kathmandu and Saurav Tamang of Dhading.

According to police, they had stolen ornaments worth Rs 492,700 along with cash from the rented room of Bhim Bahadur Pun.


Police took the three under control after seven tolas of gold were found to have been sold from Tamang’s jewelry shop.  


Mohan Kumar Thapa, spokesperson of MPRO, said they are carrying out investigation on them by taking them on a four-day remand.
