38 APF personnel including 28 players test positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: At least 38 personnel of the Armed Police Force (APF) including 28 players have tested for COVID-19 on Friday, confirmed a high-ranking APF official.

KATHMANDU, Aug 21: At least 38 personnel of the Armed Police Force (APF) including 28 players have tested for COVID-19 on Friday, confirmed a high-ranking APF official.

“Those tested positive were deployed along the Nepal-India border to check cross-border movement of people. Of the total APF personnel tested positive for the COVID-19, 28 are APF players, who were also deployed along the Nepal-India border,” said APF Deputy Inspector General Raju Aryal.


“All the APF personnel tested positive for the virus have come to Kathmandu from the border outposts. They are put in quarantine facilities,” said DIG Aryal. “Those tested positive for COVID-19 have been sent to different isolation centers for further treatment.”
