Over 60 health workers at TU Teaching Hospital test positive for COVID-19

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: More than 60 health workers including doctors and staff working at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, have been infected with the coronavirus.

KATHMANDU, Jan 13: More than 60 health workers including doctors and staff working at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, have been infected with the coronavirus.


Dinesh Kafle, Director of the Hospital, confirmed that the staffers were infected with COVID-19.

Speaking to Republica over phone, Director Kafle said, "Currently, more than 60 health workers including doctors and staff of the hospital have been infected with COVID-19. They are now in home isolation.”


"Only a few of them have symptoms,” he further added. “The health workers were in contact with patients infected with the COVID-19.”
