NUWAKOT, August 6: At least 450 district leaders and cadres have defected Netra Bikram Chand-led the Communist Party of Nepal. The defection was announced at a press conference organized by Rafat Sanchar Club in Bhaktapur today.

Self-centered ideology, inefficiency, abstract and aimless programs and directionless action plans, factions increasing within the party forced us to leave, said Yuvraj Acharya, one of the defectors, who also was the central coordinator for the party-affiliated All Nepal Revolutionary Construction Workers Association.

Other defectors include the party's district area-4 in-charge Joban Tamang and Chairperson of the All Nepal Trade Union Federation (Revolutionary), Bhaktapur Bikram Acharya. RSS
