482 new cases of coronavirus recorded in past 24 hours

KATHMANDU, July 1: Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said on Wednesday afternoon that 482 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the past 24 hours.

KATHMANDU, July 1: Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) said on Wednesday afternoon that 482 new cases of coronavirus were detected in the past 24 hours.


With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in the country soared to 14,046, according to Jageshwar Gautam, the spokesperson for the MoHP.

"365 males and 117 females were diagnosed with coronavirus in the past 24 hours," Gautam told a daily media briefing. 


As of today, 12,272 males and 1,774 females have contracted the coronavirus, he said. Likewise, as of now, 4,656 COVID-19 patients have been discharged after recovery from various health facilities across the country. All 77 districts of Nepal have witnessed cases of coronavirus infection. 


Kathmandu Valley witnessed 17 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday alone, Gautam said.
