KATHMANDU, August 6: Nepal recorded 660 new cases of COVID-19 along with 444 recoveries and one death from the virus on Saturday, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 3,682 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 326 out of 942PCR and 334 out of 2,740 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.
Nepal records 163 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours
There are currently 5,641 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,471 are in self-isolation, 170 in institutional isolation, 46 in ICUs and two on ventilators.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 214 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Among them, 163 were reported in Kathmandu, 44 in Lalitpur and 7 in Bhaktapur districts.
