KATHMANDU, August 3: Nepal recorded 915 new cases of COVID-19 along with 301 recoveries and zero death from the virus on Wednesday, according to the latest information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).
As many as 6,002 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 590 out of 3,091PCR and 325 out of 2,911 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 5,433 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 5,275 are in self-isolation, 158 in institutional isolation, 43 in ICUs and two on ventilators. So far, 11,968 people have died from the virus across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 422 cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday. Among them, 337 were reported in Kathmandu, 53 in Lalitpur and 32 in Bhaktapur districts. The total vaccine administered has reached 49,492,185 in the country.
