KATHMANDU, August 4: Nepal recorded 760 new cases of COVID-19 alongwith 324 recoveries and one death from the virus on Thursday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population.
Out of 5,926 swab samples tested for COVID-19 on the day, 494 PCR and 266 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

Currently, there are 5,646 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Of them, 5,440 are in self-isolation, 162 in institutional isolation and 44 in ICUs. There is no patient on a ventilator. So far, the virus has killed 11,969 people across the country.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley recorded 351 cases of COVID-19 on Thursday. Among them, 246 were reported in Kathmandu, 88 in Lalitpur and 17 in Bhaktapur districts. A total of 49,539,526 doses of COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in the country so far.
