“Now we need disciplined and clean police. We need professional police. As soon as it is called professional police, there is a matter of training, there are other things, there is a matter of new technology. But if the employees who are in positions have the morale and determination to solve these problems, it can be done well," he said.

Secretary Singh said that the crimes committed through the use of technology have increased in recent times and that there is a need for confidence and determination in the police administration to tackle these crimes.

Singh said that the newly appointed Inspector General of Police should take the police to zero tolerance for indiscipline, negligence and corrupt activities.

“There will be zero tolerance for indiscipline, negligence and corrupt activities. The ministry wants to see visible improvements. There have been reforms in the past, but it doesn't seem like the reforms have been completed yet,” he said.
