A sword is hanging over the constitution: Minister Chaudhary

KATHMANDU, Oct 15: CPN (Unified Socialist) Politburo member and Urban Development Minister Metmani Chaudhary has said that the sword is hanging over the new constitution.


Minister Chaudhary expressed this opinion while addressing the workers' meeting of the coalition party held at Lalmatia in Sector No. 1(A), Dang on Friday. Stating that Nepal's political parties have a history of coming together during times of crisis, he said, "Let's make the best constitution in the world together."

According to him, legislation was introduced to bring people from backward classes and sections of the society into the mainstream of the state. “By all accounts, the constitution was progressive. But KP Sharma Oli did not understand. People celebrated but KP Oli's group could not see that happiness. That is why the sword is hanging over the constitution of Nepal at this time,” he said.


Lumbini Province Health Minister Indrajit Tharu, District Incharge of Maoist Center Nirmal Acharya, District President of Jana Morcha Nepal Ganesh Acharya, Regional President of Nepali Congress Bhesraj Pandey and others instructed their respective party cadres to vote in favor of the alliance.
