DAMAULI, Sept 7: Ainapahara waterfall located at Abu Khaireni Rural Municipality-2 in Tanahun district has been attracting domestic tourists day by day. Earlier, it was not well-managed but things have changed now.
The people's representatives are now working hard to develop Ainapahara as a tourist destination. A goal has been set to develop the Ainapahara waterfall as a resting place for tourists. Artistic statues and structures are being carved out on the natural rocks and stones found in Ainapahara.
Ranikot an attraction for domestic tourists
Abu Khaireni Rural Municipality has started carving out the structures of mother and son on the rocks and stones in order to develop Ainapahara as a tourist hub. It has increased the inflow of tourists to the place.
A local, Bijay Gurung, said Ainapahara would be developed as a tourist destination as it is located near the Prithvi Highway. The chairperson of Abu Khaireni Rural Municipality, Shukra Chuman, mentioned that Ainapahara started welcoming more tourists day by day after people started uploading photos and videos of the place on the social site.
A total of Rs 14 million was allocated in the last fiscal year for the construction of Ainapahara Park, he added. Chuman said, "We have made a plan to develop Ainapahara as one of the best tourist sites in Gandaki Province, not only in Tanahu. Activities to make Ainapahara more attractive are now underway." The rural municipality has forwarded a plan to build sky-cycling and glass walk bridges at the site. It has already prepared a detailed master plan to make the Ainapahara waterfall systematic.
