KATHMANDU, June 29: Nepal has reported one more death due to novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease.
A 29-year-old male, who died on Sunday night, is found to have been infected by COVID-19. He was admitted to the ICU ward of Lalitpur-based Star Hospital after respiratory difficulties. His swab samples were extracted and sent to the Patan Academy of Health Sciences. It has been learnt that he was an asthma patient.

According to Dr Anil Pokharel, the man was taken to the hospital from Rautahat. He breathed his last four hours after he was admitted to the hospital. He had undergone treatment at Narayani Sub-regional hospital a week ago and even in India before that. He had tested negative for COVID-19 in India.
A meeting is underway to manage his dead body, said Khageshwor Gelal, chief at the Lalitpur District Health Office.
With this, the total cases of fatality in Nepal due to COVID-19 infection has reached 29. This is the third COVID-19 death in the Kathmandu Valley.
