Arzu Deuba complains of media trial in fake Bhutanese refugees scam

JANAKPURDHAM, July 25: Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has complained that a 'media trial' was conducted on her in the fake Bhutanese Refugees scam.

JANAKPURDHAM, July 25: Nepali Congress leader and member of the House of Representatives, Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has complained that a 'media trial' was conducted on her in the fake Bhutanese Refugees scam. 


At a program organized at the NC Madhesh Province Office Tuesday morning, she argued that although the role of the media is significant in the information and communication era, sometimes attacks on individuals in the name of media trail is the matter of concern.

“The same thing happened to me in the name of a fake Bhutanese refugees scam,” she shared. She expressed the view that the party should make a defense strategy in such cases. She also pointed out the need for making a media strategy for the publicity of activities carried out by the NC and the government. 


She suggested that the NC ministers carry out activities and publicity as the nutrition state in Madhes Province is much below the national index.


NC leader Ramhari Khatiwada, NC Madhesh Province President and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development of Province, Krishna Prasad Yadav, Minister for Health and Population, Birendra Singh, as well as party leaders and cadres were present on the occasion.
