DHANGADI, Jan 19: At least 16 people were injured in a bus accident in Darchula on Friday morning. Two of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
The bus (Sudurpaschim Province 02-001 Kha 1031), which was heading towards Mahendranagar on Friday morning, had an accident at Khimtadi of Mahakali Municipality-5. The bus fell about 25 meters off the road. The cause of the accident has not been revealed.
One dead, five critically injured in Darchula road accident
According to Sudurpaschim Province Traffic Police Office, Attariya, 52-year-old Dil Bahadur Bam of Duhun Rural Municipality-5 and 54-year-old Parmanand Bhatt of Byas Rural Municipality-4 of Darchula are in serious condition. They are being treated at the district hospital.
Police said that the condition of the bus driver, 36-year-old Mahesh Bhatt, resident of Krishnapur Municipality-2 Vani in Kanchanpur, along with 14 others, is normal. They are also being treated at the district hospital.
