Baitadi police launches cannabis eradication program

BAITADI, August 19: Baitadi Police has started a cannabis eradication campaign. Chief of District Police Office, Baitadi, DSP Prem Bahadur Shahi said that they have started to destroy weed plants that have naturally grown in various places and in some places planted by the locals.

BAITADI, August 19: Baitadi Police has started a cannabis eradication campaign. Chief of District Police Office, Baitadi, DSP Prem Bahadur Shahi said that they have started to destroy weed plants that have naturally grown in various places and in some places planted by the locals.

Under the Narcotics Prevention and Control Plan, weed has been destroyed. He said that a campaign to eradicate weed plants has been started to stop its use and trade since it is a narcotic drug. All the police units of the district have been instructed for weed eradication. According to the district police office, the weed plants growing in different places of Surnaya Rural Municipality, Shivnath Rural Municipality, Melauli Municipality and Patan Municipality of the district were destroyed. DSP Shahi said that the weed eradication campaign was started with the participation of local people's representatives and other stakeholders.
