Bangladeshi Army Chief returns home

KATHMANDU, Feb 11: Wrapping up his five-day visit to Nepal, Bangladeshi Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed returned home on Tuesday.

KATHMANDU, Feb 11: Wrapping up his five-day visit to Nepal, Bangladeshi Army Chief General Aziz Ahmed returned home on Tuesday.


General Aziz visited Nepal at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Purna Chandra Thapa.


According to press release issued by Nepal Army, Major General Nirmal Kumar Thapa bade farewell to General Aziz Ahmed at Tribhuvan International Airport.

During his five day stay in Nepal, General Aziz Ahmed called on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister K.P Sharma Oli, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Ishwor Pokharel and CoAS Thapa.


Likewise, he also visited NA's Western Division Headquarters Pokhara, Birendra Peace Training Center Panchkhal and various other tourist areas.


The Army headquarters expressed hope that such high-level military exchanges between the two neighboring countries will contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries as well as militaries.
