Bhulbhule, Nava Pratibha into quarters

SINDHUPALCHOWK, April 6: Bhulbhule Youth Club, Chautara and Nava Pratibha Yuwa Club, Balefi have entered into the quarterfinals of the ongoing first Chautara Sanghachokgadhi Mayor Cup Football Tournament on Thursday.

SINDHUPALCHOWK, April 6: Bhulbhule Youth Club, Chautara and Nava Pratibha Yuwa Club, Balefi have entered into the quarterfinals of the ongoing first Chautara Sanghachokgadhi Mayor Cup Football Tournament on Thursday.  


Bhulbhule defeated United Thulo Pakhar 1-0 with a 74th minute goal from Deepak Ghising. Despite featuring two Nigerian players, Thulo Pakhar could not score a goal.  Bhulbhule goalkeeper Salin Raut was named the man-of-the-match as he saved more than half dozen shots.

Bhulbhule performed well in the second half and brought the game on its side.  Former national player Raj Kumar Ghising’s inspired performance helped Nava Pratibha defeat Sanghachok Youth Club by a thumping 9-0 win.   Nava Pratibha scored the winner through man-of-the-match Ghising, while Ramesh Ghisrang scored a hat-trick and Suresh Khatri scored a brace for the winning team.


Swaroop Magar, Krishna Bhandari and Bharat Magar got a goal each. Both the man of the match players were rewarded with Rs 3,000 each.
