KATHMANDU, August 22: Chief Minister of the Indian State of Bihar, Nitish Kumar has expressed grief over the death of Nepali Congress (NP) leader and lawmaker Pradip Giri.
In a statement issued on Sunday, Nitish said that he had a personal relationship with leader Giri, adding that the late Giri was a philosopher and a socialist thinker.

Stating that he was shocked to hear the news of Giri's death, Chief Minister Nitish said that he has lost a true friend in Nepal.
Similarly, a leader of India's socialist movement and a professor at Jawaharlal Nehru University, has said that Nepal has lost a great personality of the socialist movement.
Anand Kumar is also a participant in the Justice and Equality Movement in Nepal including the 2006 movement. He paid tribute to the late Giri and expressed his sorrow over losing a friend.
