Bomb goes off in Land Revenue Office in Siraha

SIRAHA, Dec 22: Three people were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off at the Land Revenue Office (LRO) of Siraha on Friday.

SIRAHA, Dec 22: Three people were injured when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) went off at the Land Revenue Office (LRO) of Siraha on Friday.


The bomb, which was planted below a sofa, injured Raj Kumar Paswan, Roshan Paswan and Pawan Paswan of Siraha Municipality-11. They have been admitted to the District Hospital for the treatment. 

As informed by SP Shekhar Koirala, police chief of Siraha, the injured are now out of danger.

The windows of the room were broken after the incident. However, there were no serious damages. Police are yet to find out those involved in the explosion. The LRO is just 500 meters west of the District Administration Office where a large number of Armed Police Force and Nepal Police personnel are deployed. On the other hand, the District Police Office is about the same distance toward the north of the incident site.


Earlier on December 14, a bomb had exploded at the main crossroads of Lahan soon after the elections despite tight security. But police have still not been able to find out the person or group involved in the explosion.
