CIAA files graft case against officiating chief at Land Revenue Office, Siraha

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: The Commission for Investigation and Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a graft case against Ram Babu Mandal, the officiating chief of Land Revenue Office in Siraha, demanding a fine of Rs 500, 000 and jail term for seeking the bribe from the service seekers.

KATHMANDU, Dec 16: The Commission for Investigation and Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a graft case against Ram Babu Mandal, the officiating chief of Land Revenue Office in Siraha, demanding a fine of Rs 500,000 and jail term for seeking the bribe from the service seekers.


A team of anti-graft body had caught red-handed Mandal while bargaining a cash amount of Rs 500,000 with the service seekers after the latter approached his office for some land-related documents. The CIAA registered the case at the Special Court, Kathmandu.
