Budhanilkantha, TAC win

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has registered a victory over Golden Gate International College in the ongoing Kwiks Basketball League Tournament being played in home and away double league format. TAC defeated Golden Gate 88-50 on Monday.

KATHMANDU (REPUBLICA): The departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club (TAC) has registered a victory over Golden Gate International College in the ongoing Kwiks Basketball League Tournament being played in home and away double league format. TAC defeated Golden Gate 88-50 on Monday.

Robin Khatri scored the highest 17 for TAC to give the departmental team 100 percent success in the two games. TAC had defeated Bishal Milan Kendra earlier in the first match. TAC was behind 22-19 in the first quarter but made a comeback in the match with a 23-6 lead in the second quarter. TAC, then, took the lead again in the third quarter 27-12 and 19-10 in the fourth to win the match 88-50 on aggregate.


TAC is on the top of the standings with six points from two matches. Budhanilkantha Municipality beat BMC South Siders 59-56 in a tightly-contested battle. Biraj Rana scored the highest 16 for the winning team. Budhanilkantha was behind 6-22 in the first quarter, but made a brilliant comeback to lead 16-14 in the second quarter and 17-2 in the third. Likewise, the home team took a lead of 20-18 in the fourth to eventually win the match.
