Bus collision leaves nine dead

HETAUDA, July 31: At least nine persons were killed and 32 injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses at Ramantaar road stretch along the Hetauda – Narayangadh route last night.

HETAUDA, July 31: At least nine persons were killed and 32 injured in a head-on collision between two passenger buses at Ramantaar road stretch along the Hetauda – Narayangadh route last night. 



A bus belonging to Agni Yatayat with registration no Na 5 Kha 5055 and heading towards Jhapa from Kathmandu collided with a night bus with registration no Na 5 Kha 4064 en route to Kathmandu from Udayapur killing nine on the spot. 



The deceased are yet to be identified, said Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Bamdev Gautam, of District Police Office, Hetauda. The police are also unable to ascertain which of the passengers belonged to the two buses. 



The bodies have been taken to the Hetauda Hospital whereas the injured are receiving treatment at the Chure Hill Hospital in Hetauda, according to police. RSS
