Bus-oil tanker collision on Narayanghat-Mugling road leaves at least 15 injured

CHITWAN, July 20: At least 15 passengers were injured in a collision between a bus and an oil tanker on the Narayanghat-Mugling road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, Chitwan.

CHITWAN, July 20: At least 15 passengers were injured in a collision between a bus and an oil tanker on the Narayanghat-Mugling road in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-29, Chitwan.


The accident occurred at 3 PM on Saturday at a location known as Bhateri. The bus, with registration number Ga 2 Kha 1401, was traveling from Narayanghat to Pokhara when it collided with the rear of the oil tanker, Na 7 Kha 5491, which was headed in the same direction.

The injured have been taken to New Medical College and Old Medical College in Bharatpur for treatment. According to the Chitwan District Police Office, 10 of the injured are being treated at New Medical College, with 1 in serious condition and 9 in moderate condition. 


While one person has been admitted at Old Medical College, four others moderately injured are currently undergoing treatment at a local government hospital. The identities of the injured have not been disclosed.


Both vehicles involved in the collision have been seized and police have begun investigation into the accident.
