Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is also preparing to take a vote of confidence from the lower house of the federal parliament on the same day. During the meeting, PM Oli said that he would try to win the trust of the parliament to continue his stay in power.

There are a total 275 members in the lower house of the federal parliament. Since four members are currently under suspension, Oli requires at least 136 votes to survive as the prime minister.
