“We had come for treatment with collected fund,” Khim Bahadur, Sabitra’s brother said. “The hospital asked for hefty amount (Rs 700,000 to 1 million rupees), and we are unable to collect it. Now, we don’t even have money to rent an ambulance to go back home,” Khim Bahadur lamented.
Prior to going to Kathmandu, Sabitra had been changing her blood every 15 days at Burtiwang Primary Health Post.
BK’s family has been stranded in Kathmandu after Bhaktapaur Cancer Hospital asked them to leave the hospital saying that BK’s treatment would be impossible without Rs 1 million.
“We would return home if someone provided us financial help. We have been left stranded after the hospital forced us to leave,” he lamented.
Her father Chhabilal BK, mother and two elder brothers are attending to Sabitri in Kathmandu. Anyone willing to assist them can contact at 9821351144 and 9821913446.
