CEC urges parties to enthusiastically participate in nomination

KATHMANDU, May 1: Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has urged all political parties to participate with enthusiasm in the filing of nominations scheduled for Tuesday relating to local poll slated for May 14.

KATHMANDU, May 1: Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has urged all political parties to participate with enthusiasm in the filing of nominations scheduled for Tuesday relating to local poll slated for May 14.


In a press meet organized by the Commission here today, Yadav said there will be no change in election schedule and after nomination all rumors regarding the election will be cleared.

He further urged the candidates to follow the election code of conduct as it will be enforced soon after the nomination.


Yadav further shared that he has directed all security forces to make reliable security in view of election. Chief Commissioner Yadav further urged the media to create environment conducive to maintaining the impartiality as media's role will be important to create awareness among the people.


Time for filing of nominations for the first phase of local-level elections has been fixed from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm tomorrow. RSS
