CJ Rana reaches Singhadurbar to defend charges leveled against him by Impeachment Recommendation Committee

KATHMANDU, August 31: Suspended Chief Justice (CJ) Cholendra SJB Rana has reached Singhadurbar to register his statement. The Impeachment Recommendation Committee of parliament summoned Rana, giving him an opportunity to defend the charges leveled against him today. The ruling parties filed the impeachment proposal against Rana last year with 21 charges.

There are allegations that Rana sought a share in the Cabinet and constitutional appointments, bargained with the executive, set the bench in economic and political issues, and committed corruption.
