1,474 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed while 1,931 patients got over the disease in the past 24 hours


KATHMANDU, Nov 30: The total number of people dying of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal has surpassed 1,500 as 29 more people succumbed to the deadly virus in the past 24 hours.

Nepal has so far confirmed 1,508 COVID-19 fatalities since the first death was reported earlier on May 16. A 29-year-old woman from Sindhupalchowk district was the victim of the disease. COVID-19 mortality rate in the country stands at 0.64 percent of the 233,452 total cases confirmed as of Monday afternoon.


Health Ministry officials on Monday confirmed 1,474 new cases across the country while 1,931 people who were undergoing treatment for the disease gained recovery in the past 24 hours. As many as 91.9 percent COVID-19 patients – 214521 – have got over the illness.


Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley added 809 new cases of the disease. With this, the total number of infections in the Valley, where the country's federal capital lies, has advanced to 109,126.
