KATHMANDU, Nov 19: The total number of people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) in Nepal has reached 215,020 as 2,103 more people tested positive for the virus during the 9,805 real time polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) tests carried out across the country in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP), as many as 185,638 COVID-19 patients have so far got over the viral infection including 2,858 more recoveries registered on Thursday. The recovery rate in Nepal stands at 86.33 percent while the total deaths due to the COVID-19 infection has hit 1,276 with 17 other patients dying of this pandemic in the past 24 hours.

There are currently 28,106 active cases of the disease across the country who are undergoing treatment for the disease at either their homes or institutional isolation centers.
Meanwhile, the Kathmandu Valley reported 1,229 new cases of the disease, according to the ministry.
