Nepal records 171 new cases and two deaths from COVID-19 on Tuesday

KATHMANDU, April 18:  Nepal recorded 171 new cases of COVID-19 along with 85 recoveries on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).

KATHMANDU, April 18:  Nepal recorded 171 new cases of COVID-19 along with 85 recoveries on Tuesday, according to the information released by the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP).


As many as 1,632 swab samples were tested for COVID-19 on the day. Of them, 105 PCR and 66 antigen tests turned out to be positive for the virus.

There are currently 397 active cases of COVID-19 across the country. Among them, 22 are in institutional isolation, 8 in ICUs and four on ventilators. 


Meanwhile, the health ministry has urged one and all to take caution and also get a booster dose of COVID-19 vaccine.
