KATHMANDU, March 20: A parliamentary party (PP) meeting of the ruling CPN-UML has endorsed the party’s PP statute amid decision of lawmakers close to Madhav Kumar Nepal to boycott the meeting.

Talking to media persons after the meeting, lawmaker Sher Bahadur Tamang said that clarifications will be sought from those lawmakers who breached the party directives and launched or attended the factional meeting.
On the occasion, a letter of discontent signed by 38 lawmakers close to the party’s senior leader Nepal was also handed over to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli. In the letter, the disgruntled lawmakers maintained that the PP meeting held at Prime Minister’s Official Residence goes against the party’s statute.
