KATHMANDU, Dec 28: Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the communist movement has been facing problems due to the lack of clarity in opinion. He admitted that there was ambiguity in ideas in the communist movement and the CPN-Maoist Center in the 45-page long report submitted in the closed session on Monday under the eighth National General Convention of the Maoist Center which started in Kathmandu on Sunday.
"The fact that the lack of development and clarity of thought is the root cause of the problems that have arisen in the national politics of the communist movement and even in our party today must be borne in mind," said Dahal in his report.

Dahal stressed the need for looking at the question of development and clarity in ideological and political direction not only from the national but also from the international dimension.
He argues that development and clarity of thoughts can only be achieved by analyzing and synthesizing the characteristics of globalized socialism as financial capitalism, the overall impact of the revolution in information technology as well as today's productive forces and production relations and the concrete state of one's own economic, political and social development.
According to Dahal, the challenge for the party is to present a solid foundation for the revolutionary party and revolutionary transformation based on the right ideology and political line of action in the current international and national situation of development.
