Departmental teams, Help Nepal into volleyball semis

KATHMANDU, March 2: The semifinal lineup of the men’s category completed on Thursday, as all the three departmental teams -- Tribhuvan Army Club, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police Club -- cemented their place in the last-four of the ongoing fourth NST-NVA National Women’s and Men’s Volleyball Tournament. Likewise, Help Nepal Sports Club also secured its semifinal berth.

Likewise, Help Nepal Sports Club also secured its semifinal berth. 


Tribhuvan Army saw off Naya Bazaar Social Club, Armed Police beat Mani Mukunda Volleyball Club, and Nepali Police overcame Dhorpatan Sports Club to reach the last four. Likewise, Help Nepal defeated Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center in the other group stage match.

Departmental teams, New Diamond into semis


In the matches played at the National Sports Council (NSC)’s Covered Hall in Tripureshwar, Nepal Police beat Dhorpatan 25-11, 25-17, 25-21 while Armed Police defeated Mani Mukunda 25-19, 25-23, 25-21 to reach the semifinals. 


Likewise, Help Nepal saw off Jawalakhel 25-16, 25-17, 21-25, 25-22 and Tribhuvan Army thumped Naya Bazaar on straight sets of 25-10, 25-16, 25-9 to make it to the semifinals of the tournament. 


WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL

In women’s category, the departmental team Armed Police advanced into the semifinals defeating Jawalakhel Volleyball Training Center on straight sets of 3-0. 


In the group B match, Armed Police beat Jawalakhel 25-6, 25-7, 25-4. Armed Police will now take on the group A runner-up and the other departmental team Tribhuvan Army. Likewise, the runner-up of group B, Nepal Police will face Shivam New Diamond Academy in the other semifinal match.
