Deputy Mayor's vehicle torched in Mahottari

JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 22: An unknown group of people set ablaze the vehicle belonging to Renu Kumari Mahato, Deputy Mayor of Mahottari Gaushala Municipality on Saturday night.

JANAKPURDHAM, Dec 22: An unknown group of people set ablaze the vehicle belonging to Renu Kumari Mahato, Deputy Mayor of Mahottari Gaushala Municipality on Saturday night.


The incident occurred at 2:30 AM, according to the Mahottari District  Police Office. The targeted vehicle, bearing the license plate Province 2, 002-001 Jha 0005, was parked in front of her residence in Gaushala Municipality Ward No. 1, Ramnagar. The arson resulted in the burning of the rear part of the vehicle.

DSP Dilip Kumar Giri, who is also Information Officer of Mahottari police, stated that an investigation is underway to identify and arrest those responsible for the arson.
