Deputy Speaker Rana Magar renounces Rastriya Swatantra Party membership

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar has said that she has left Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Magar, who was elected as proportional MP from RSP, renounced the party membership after being elected as Deputy Speaker.

KATHMANDU, Jan 23: Deputy Speaker Indira Rana Magar has said that she has left Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP). Magar, who was elected as proportional MP from RSP, renounced the party membership after being elected as Deputy Speaker.

Issuing a statement on Monday morning, Rana Magar said  she has separated herself from all political and organizational responsibilities of the party to make the role of her post independent, fair and dignified.


On Thursday, Magar was elected as the Deputy Speaker on behalf of the ruling coalition.
